JMS Marketing is a manufacturer's rep. agency with the home office based in Romulus, New York. The agency was organized in January 1985, by Jim Stevens, calling on wholesale distributors of gas heating equipment, fireplaces, hearth products and gas grills. We also service some DIY hardware and home center chains within our market area.

JMS Marketing is made up currently of two partners. Owner Jim Stevens, as many of you know, passed away rather unexpectedly this past spring. Long time sales associates Paul Bichun and Steven Baker have purchased the business from Jim’s wife Diane, and will carry on in the tradition of Jim Stevens.   Paul and Steve will share equally the administrative duties. Paul Bichun lives in Guilford Connecticut and manages our New England, south eastern New York/LI territory, and northern NJ. Steven Baker lives in Moravia, New York and covers our /western New York, Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey territory.  In addition, Ken Trail will be assisting us in coverage in Pa and NJ. Our effective territory includes the states of New York (including Long Island), Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and all of New England.

We market through wholesale hearth, HVAC and LP gas equipment distributors and also some DIY hardware/home center chains within our market area. Since 1996, the agency has greatly expanded its' marketing to include direct sales to established hearth and fireplace retailers, yielding some 200 new accounts. Our sales and service experience in these 5 market segments has enabled us to effectively capture solid market shares for our manufacturers. We enjoy an excellent rapport with our accounts and believe that strong relationships build sales opportunities.

The JMS Marketing associates are veterans of many national and regional trade shows, builders' home shows, and DIY buying shows. We also work distributor and dealer shows throughout the year. It is our belief that good distributor/dealer product orientation and basic service training are very important. Our associates are all NFI Certified and experienced in the installation and service of the products we sell.
